Our Club once again participated in the Rotary International global grant process—the $10,000 grant from the Toledo Rotary Club Foundation Fund was designated to, “Providing Safe Drinking Water to Ten Rural Communities in North Central Sri Lanka,” with a total budget of $178,096.00. The Global Grant process was recently approved by The Rotary International Foundation following participation and funding provided by the Rotary Club of Toledo, Bowling Green Rotary, Findlay Rotary, Maumee Rotary Perrysburg Rotary, Sandusky Rotary, St Marys Club Rotary, and Waterville Rotary Clubs. Thanks to our International Services Committee for the due diligence practiced and presented to guide this grant through all committee levels and successful completion. Thanks too to fellow Rotarian and 2nd VP Tim Ryan for bringing this need to our Club’s attention after visiting Sri Lanka.
Annually, our Club’s Foundation provides an average of more than $160,000 in grants. Working in collaboration with the Rotary International Foundation, local clubs and international Clubs provides leverage and large dollars that have a long term and sustaining impact on thousands.
Thank you for your support of the Toledo Rotary Club Foundation—your donation to our annual campaign does make a difference!
