Judy Seibenick, Executive Director of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, accepted a check in the amount of $10,000 at the Rotary program on Monday, August 21. Our Community Service Committee members, led by Chairman Jim Layman, received the request, participated in the vetting process and made the decision to recommend grant approval to our Board and Foundation Trustees. The funds given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio will help them replace the sewage pumps at their Inpatient Center on South Detroit Ave. Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s vision is to “positively transform the way people view and experience the end of life”. A functional plumbing system is vital to their ability to meet that vision for the 1,200 patients and families who need inpatient hospice care each year. The Toledo Hospice Center is now 13 years old and Hospice of Northwest Ohio is committed to maintaining the facility and the systems so that it remains a place of comfort and peace for all who enter.
