Jason Lewis will provide an overview of the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and the conservation mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Northwest Ohio.
Jason Lewis is the Refuge Manager at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Complex, Oak Harbor, Ohio. He is responsible for managing more than 11,000 acres encompassing three national wildlife refuges: Ottawa, Cedar Point, and West Sister Island. Prior to coming to northwest Ohio, Jason spent 5 years at Mingo National Wildlife Refuge in southeast Missouri and 9 years at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge in southeast Indiana. Hereceived his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University. He is an avid birdwatcher and enjoys photography,recreational sports, camping, and the outdoors.
