Steve Groppe is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He moved to Toledo last summer when he was named the General Manager of the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel, which will be opening in May of this year. Over the course of his career, Steve has provided leadership for several Ohio hotels, including hotels in Cleveland and Columbus. In previous positions, his constant pursuit of excellence and service delivery made significant impacts on guest satisfaction, hotel profit margins and brand awareness.  He says he won the lottery the day he met his wife Karen, and when he isn’t on the Renaissance property he is with at least one of his three kids, Kristin, Madison and Bryce, attending one of their sports events.

Steve will be introducing the opening of the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel, including work done to date, Toledo specific features and unique hotel amenities.
