John R. Husman has authored over 200 articles and two books on baseball history and has appeared on two PBS documentaries. He has been a member of the Society for American Baseball Research for 35 years. He founded and was president of The Great Black Swamp Frogs Base Ball Club of Sylvania, Ohio and was a founder and the first president of the Vintage Base Ball Association. He is the Toledo Mud Hens Team Historian.
