Mr. Chablani will provide an overview of the work of Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE), a poverty law firm representing the interests of low-income individuals throughout Northwest and Western Ohio. Mr. Chablani will share ABLE’s approach to planning and prioritizing advocacy, taking into account the various interacting social and economic systems which lead to poverty and reinforce its effects through unjust and inequitable outcomes. Mr. Chablani will offer reflections on the potential impact of a systemic approach to the injustices of poverty and how our community can do better to achieve fair and equitable outcomes for all.
