Dr. Tim Kasunic will discuss the latest advances in treating cancer, including immunotherapy, as well as other exciting breakthroughs. Dianne Cherry will conclude by introducing the role The Victory Center plays in treating the whole person. Dr. Kasunic received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine and served a fellowship at the Henry Ford Hospital in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. He has offices at the Toledo Clinic Cancer Center and Flower Hospital. He has many professional affiliations and serves on many boards and committees. Dr. Kasunic has been involved in research since 1993 and has authored numerous publications and abstracts in leading journals including Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, the Breast Cancer Journal, and the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cellular Physiology, and Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. Rotarian Dianne Cherry is the executive director of The Victory Center which provides hope and support to cancer patients, survivors, and those closest to them. Since 1996, the Victory Center has been reaching out to cancer patients and their families in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan providing love, support, compassion, hope and laughter.
