Judd Silverman & Richard Hylant- Toledo’s Inverness Club Wins Bid to Host the 2021 Solheim Cup

Judd Silverman is founder of the Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Owens Corning & O-I. Since 1984 Judd has served as the Executive Director of the annual LPGA tournament. To date, the tournament has raised $9.8 million for 175 northwest Ohio & southeast Michigan children’s charities. Judd also served as the Championship Director for the 2003 & 2011 U.S. Senior Open Championships and the 2009 NCAA Men’s Championship all held at Inverness Club. In tandem with Richard Hylant, Judd was instrumental in Inverness Club’s winning bid to host the 2021 Solheim Cup, the most prestigious event in women’s professional golf.

 

Richard Hylant oversees Hylant Administrative Services, Hylant Select, Asset Optimization Group, and Risk Matters. Richard is also responsible for commercial market development and relationship management, focusing on stock companies and larger regional carriers. Prior to his current position, Richard served as an executive vice president as well as president of the Toledo office and was responsible for all retail operations, personal lines, middle market commercial accounts, large accounts, and employee benefits. Previously, Richard was a CPA on the audit staff at Peat Marwick in Toledo, Ohio.

He is currently a board member of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) as well as a member of several insurance company advisory boards. He serves on several local boards including Fifth Third Bank’s Northwest Ohio affiliate; Great Lakes Protection Fund; Toledo Classic, Inc. (Marathon Classic); Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce; 22nd Century Committee; and United Way Public Policy Advisory. In addition, he recently served on the University of Toledo Medical Advisory board.

Richard earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
